Returns and exchange details

If there is a need to cancel your order, please contact Brown Fox Creative right away. Once design/drafting has begun, but your project has not gone into printing/production, you are responsible for 1/2 the cost of the total order, and any materials that have been purchased. Once your final approval to print/move into production has been given, you are responsible for the cost of the entire order. Because of the personalization of custom stationery, orders are non-refundable, without exception. What is given final approval on the proof by the client, is what will be printed/produced as changes may occur during the design process. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure the proof is correct in every way - spelling, all correct/necessary information provided, colors, quantity, etc. Every effort is made to assure your satisfaction. If there is an error on the part of BFC, we will do our best to correct the problem.


It is your responsibility to carefully review your proofs for any error. That includes: spelling, layout, website URLS, phone numbers, directions, etc. Once you give your final approval any errors are corrected at your expense.

Handmade Variances
Due to the handmade nature of certain elements (deckled/torn edges, wax seals, foiling, foil flakes, etc.) no two pieces will be alike and there will be variances in these elements as well as other handmade components. These are normal and to be expected with anything of a handmade nature or that has went through a post-print process by hand. Nor is there a defined quantity, size or format with these handmade elements.

Orders should be placed in increments be of 5, some must be in increments of 25. My minimum order quantity is 25 for everything but envelopes, for which the minimum quantity is 50. It is recommended that you order a minimum of 10 extra for keepsakes and any last minute guests.

All invitation suites are 8 weeks from purchase date. Everything else (menus, place cards, programs, etc.) is 3 weeks. Brown Fox Creative will strive to work within your timeline, but it is important for the client to also cooperate in a timely manner. BFC will not be responsible for not meeting deadlines due to delayed client action or response. It takes a minimum of 2 weeks after approval for a piece to be produced. So, for example, if you are on a 5 week rush timeline, but do not approve your project to print until week 4, your order will be complete in 6 weeks instead of 5.

On the occasion, there are factors outside our control that contribute to when you receive your order. For example, but not limited to — weather in regards to shipping, work load of our local printers, or supply/demand of on-hand stock from our paper manufacturers. We always recommend ordering with ample time before you need your order. However, if you choose not to allow yourself a buffer, we are not responsible for time delays outside of our control.

Payment & Rush Orders
Orders may be considered RUSH if they are needed less than 6 weeks from the time of purchase. Rush orders are accepted depending on availability and the requirements of the project. Rush orders will incur an additional cost — please inquire for RUSH pricing and availability.

Brown Fox Creative reserves the right to change prices without notice. Pricing changes may be affected by an increase or decrease in supplier, service and/or production costs. Quotes and estimates are valid for 30 days.

Design Property
All designs and concepts are property of Brown Fox Creative. BFC retains all rights to use the preliminary and completed designs for the purpose of display or for other clients, upon request.

It is important to us that every piece of stationery we create is our own. Sending inspiration from elsewhere to give an idea of your style is great! But please, don’t send us someone else’s design and ask us to create a copy for you, but with your wording and colors. We just can’t do that and we hate disappointing you. Thanks for understanding.


Information I Collect
To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order of wedding stationery order, for example), if you contact me directly.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfill your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support; when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;
if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information Sharing and Disclosure
Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as printing or delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

Data Retention
I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 15 years.

Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU
I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.

Your Rights
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:

Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
